Virginia Film Tours is excited to offer our two night or three night packages at the newly restored Crowne Plaza, Richmond West  for incoming motorcoach groups of 30 or more, or  for groups of 30 or more who' members are traveling to Richmond on their own, with us supplying the motorcoaches for the film tours at an additional charge.

Visit the beautiful historic area of  Richmond, Virginia, which also just happens to be one of Hollywood's favorite filming locations for over 40 movies and TV shows!
 
This extraordinary two night, three day package includes two nights at the beautiful newly restored Crowne Plaza Richmond West, 2 diners, 2 breakfasts, the complete Where Hollywood Meets History Richmond Program with step on guides, all gratuities plus meal & hotel taxes.
 
Your First night: Following dinner,  receive an entertaining power point presentation, Hollywood Movies Made in Virginia,, presented by an award winning screenwriter who teaches this  course at  the University of Richmond
 
Your Second Day: Includes breakfast and a one day  Plantation Film Tour. Experience three of Virginia's most historic plantations. Learn about all the movies filmed at the plantations from your expert film guides then tour the plantations with historic guides and spend time on your own to explore breathtaking southern gardens. Lunch is at the beautiful Jordan Point Country Club.  Following dinner this evening, sit back, relax and enjoy a movie related to the plantation tour to bring back all the memories of this very special day.
 
Your Third Day:  Following breakfast,  enjoy the award winning two hour "Where Hollywood Meets History" Richmond Film Tour. Receive an insider's look into some of your favorite stars and forty Hollywood films. Learn how famous movie scenes were created for the big screen as you view the scene clips at the beautiful historic locations where they were actually filmed: The Virginia State Capitol, designed by Thomas Jefferson,  the Civil War Museum, the exquisite Jefferson Hotel, host to eleven presidents and numerous movie stars, St. John's Church, site of Patrick Henry's famous speech, "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" and more! 
 
The three night/four day package includes all of the above with a full one day  Richmond Film Tour on the third day, plus an additional dinner, night's stay at the Crowne Plaza and breakfast on the fourth day.  By expanding this package into a three night, not only will guests enjoy the Richmond Film Tour but they will  have  time to tour many of the historic locations where the movies were actually filmed. Lunch is on your own with time to shop in Richmond's unique and hip Carytown - nine blocks of  distinctive boutiques, antiques shops and over 25 places to eat. 
 
This movie escape package can be marketed in a number of  different ways such as a Red Hatter's Movie Delight, Girl Friends Movie Get Away, or Ultimate Movie Lover's Escape Weekend, etc.
 
For a small additional charge, we can bring in a professional special effects expert  to discuss and to demonstrate how special effects are created for the movies. Or, we can bring in a "handsome" film actor to discuss acting for the camera. We can also have some fun with guests trying their hand at auditioning for a movie role by reading a very romantic, "steamy scene" with the actor.
